The residence
Porini Point sits on a hillside at the edge of the Tatu Wildlife Sanctuary, a protected refuge for indigenous flora and fauna being developed inside the city itself. The estate is twenty-four buildings arranged around a landscaped courtyard, and the whole of Tatu City's downtown is a short walk from the gate.

Tatu City is a 5,000-acre municipality with all essential services from day one: potable water, reliable electricity, high-speed internet and 70 km of tarmacked roads. Crawford International School and both Nova Pioneer campuses are inside it, as are NCBA, Prime and I&M banks, an AAR healthcare centre, a Naivas supermarket and a run of restaurants and coffee shops. Nairobi's CBD is 30 minutes away, Westlands 32, and Jomo Kenyatta International 35.
The estate is planned inward. At its centre is a clubhouse for gatherings and weekend barbecues, a swimming pool with a sun deck, and play areas laid out so children can be let loose without being watched every second. Entry is gated and secure, with dedicated parking for residents and a separate allocation for visitors.
Each building carries a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments rather than stacking one type on top of itself. The one-bedroom runs to 54 m². Two-bedrooms come in two arrangements, both at 90 m². The three-bedroom, at 145 m², adds an en-suite second bedroom and a walk-in closet off the principal suite.
